We’re sorry for the inconvenience. It can be a challenge at times for customers and bikes to easily share space on crowded trains. We encourage cyclists to be aware that there are times (e.g. rush hour, special event days) when there will be limited space for them to bring their bike on board. (That’s why we have bike lockers and Bike and Ride facilities at various locations.)
Most cyclists will be cooperative and understanding if you let them know that you need them to move or exit the train for you get to a seat. If you encounter a cyclist who is not cooperative, you have two options:
-
During business hours contact Customer Service with the details (vehicle number, location, etc.) and we’ll notify Operations.
-
If the cyclist is creating a safety hazard or intentionally impeding your ability to safely exit the train, contact the train operator via the emergency intercom. The operator will make an announcement for customers not to block aisles and doors and, if necessary, will contact a supervisor. The supervisor will meet the train enroute and handle the situation accordingly.
